BDLC is a state-licensed, member-owned organization with a parent-run board and 501(c)3 non-profit status. For more than 30 years, BDLC has provided Bloomington families with quality child care in a nurturing, family centered environment.
Our mission is to provide educational, child-centered, family-oriented, multicultural activities that encourage each child to develop his or her unique potential. We welcome children of all nationalities, creeds, races, and abilities to experience the benefits of our center.
BDLC provides full-service daycare for children, serving two nutritious whole food oriented meals and snacks daily, in a purpose-built facility with age-appropriate indoor and outdoor spaces.
BDLC serves children 6 weeks to 6 years of age and has a full-day kindergarten program.
Our teachers meet exceptionally high standards. Each lead teacher has a minimum of a CDA and many have earned a bachelor’s degree or higher. Every teacher is required to have an additional 20 hours of training every 12 months.
BDLC is licensed by the State of Indiana.
The state of Indiana has implemented a new state-wide quality system for early childhood centers, Paths to Quality. It is a four-star system, with four-stars signifying the top centers that have attained national accreditation. BDLC has begun the process and has chosen to go through all 4 levels! BDLC is now at a level 3 and beginning the steps to level 4. Please encourage our teachers in opting to participate in this program.
Hours
BDLC is open weekdays from 7:30AM to 6:00PM.
